The Optimization and Control Theory Department has invited pupils from LO Jarocin and ZPS Koźmin to visit Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. Welcomed by Dean dr Wiesław Kurc, the pupils are going to attend two lectures connected with presentations:
Mgr Piotr Kasprzak stayed from 2009-11-03 to 2009-11-13 at the Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD (USA), where he conducted scientific research. He also gave two talks during a faculty colloquium and a Nonlinear Analysis And Applied
Mathematics Seminar. Furthermore, he conducted the second part of LaTeX workshop for MSU's Department of Mathematics staff and students.
Dr Marcin Borkowski stayed from 2009-09-16 to 2009-09-25 at the Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD (USA), where he conducted scientific research. He also gave a talk during a faculty colloquium and a 3-hour LaTeX workshop for MSU's Department of Mathematics staff and students.
Dr Daria Bugajewska, dr Marcin Borkowski and mgr Piotr Kasprzak from 2009-07-06 to 2009-07-10 stayed in Kraków, Poland, where they took part in the conference Function Spaces IX.
Dr Daria Bugajewska held a lecture entitled On superposition operators in spaces of functions of bounded variations with applications to nonlinear integral equations.
Dr Marcin Borkowski held a lecture entitled On some fixed point theorems of Krasnoselskii type.
Mgr Piotr Kasprzak held a lecture entitled On the topological structure of solutions sets to certain fractional differential equations.
Prof. dr hab. Ryszard Urbański, dr Jerzy Grzybowski and dr Hubert Przybycień from 2009-07-05 to 2009-07-08 stayed in Bonn, Germany, where they took part in the 23rd European Conference on Operational Research
Prof. dr hab. Ryszard Urbański held a lecture entitled Reduction of finite exhausters.
Dr Jerzy Grzybowski held a lecture entitled Reduction of infinite exhausters.
Dr Hubert Przybycień held a lecture entitled Completeness of Minkowski-Rådström-Hörmander space.
Furthermore, prof. dr hab. Ryszard Urbański was a co-organizer of two subsections:
On Tuesday the 2nd of June 2009 at the Functional Analysis Seminar at the Adam Mickiewicz University Jerzy Grzybowski will deliver a talk entitled Decomposition of Minkowski-Radström-Hörmander space into symmetric and asymmetric subspaces.
On Wednesday the 4th of March 2009, at the
Geometry of Banach Spaces Seminar at the Institute of Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University Jerzy Grzybowski will deliver a talk entitled Decomposition of Minkowski-Radström-Hörmander space into symmetric and asymmetric subspaces.
